They Can’t All Be Winners…

… but we can still show them off.

During the design “experimentation & play” phase of our process, presenting the initial comps and/or the first round to a client is a VULNERABLE proposition!

This group of work is all kinds of looks n’ feels, and is generally the most populated group when it comes to presenting a client with the suggested solutions to the problem they want to solve. It’s also a more diverse scope of designs that tends to push a few creative boundaries.

Once the “winner” is selected by our client, we move onto the revision round and create the remaining brand deliverables with the approved and selected assets. However, we’re often left with several enticing “leftovers” from round one.

These are our losers, but only in the sense that they weren’t chosen. Often there are still some brilliant ideas to be found in the castaways.

Because we’re attached to all of these beautiful, unused ROUND ONES from Balboa Park Conservancy’s Cultivate Wonder campaign, we decided to let them all see the light of day, no longer banished to some dusty, unlabeled external hard drive that we lost the USB chord to.
